From what I can read, it happens to lots of people, and there is no real solution for it, short of bolting in a plate over the exhaust to keep it dry.

Oh wow, this happened to me when I had a steel catback. As soon as I changed to a stainless steel setup, it stopped. That was what made the difference for me I guess.

Just to dig this thread up again. I found this today while scoping through parts.

        http://www.jdmconcept.com.au/part/be...egra-dc5-01-07

it's a panel that bolts up underneath the engine. it supposedly helps with cooling and aero, but I was thinking it could be a solution to this problem as well? Anyone had one? thought of getting one?

Only problem is $400 is a big gamble if it doesnt fix the issue.

I highly doubt that would fix the issue, i get some vibrations in the 34 too in the wet, i think its water hitting the exhaust, it sound's like something is loose, and i'm pretty sure its coming from the exhaust as none of this happens in the dry.

might be water getting somewhere....i dont think water hitting the exhaust will make that sound...
possibly water getting in exhaust and causing some reaction??

            happens during idle, neutral, accelerate...
i found when the sound happens during idle, you can accelerate abit and the sound with disappear

Since alot of people are talking about coming from some side of the exhaust ~ could it be that the pipe is hitting the sway bar ??
