Tie rod help urgent!!!

Hi guys, i have fitted 18x9 +20 wheels on my dc5. i have bc br coils, and i am running max camber that the camber plates allow me to. BUT, i am getting a huge amount of TOE IN and the car is undriveable. There is no thread left on my tie rods, to decrease my toe in. i can only increase toe out. what do i do?

ok, what brands are available and where do i source them from? or is modifying my stock rods a good idea?

i'm only pretty new on here but have seen a thread on Todds tie rods, i think this guy modifies stock tie rods....
Do a search for tie rods.... Doing a search first is a handy tool before starting a thread...
i'm guessing if you do know what you are doing you could do it yourself but you will need to cut sleeve and tig weld it all up.
But if you don't know how to do it i wouldn't tackle modifying it yourself...

Get shorter tie rodds, todds tie rods to be exact, noone sells here unless second hand, but have to buy it from the states

I'm running BC BR coilovers as well (though my rims aren't aggressive like yours) and Todd's tie rods.
They're awesome and will fix your toe problem and you can adjust them to whatever rim/coilover combo.

Otherwise, I think Uc (se7en) was organising (another) Todd's tie rod group buy, might be worth asking him too

I just did a google search on this and you can get them done by getting the thread cut further down the tie rod then shortening it by 10mm.

thanks for the input guys, i think im going to get the thread cut and the oem tie rod shortened, as zippie mentioned. I'm in quite a hurry to get the car on the road. Thank you once again!

After looking at this i would definitely not recommend extending the thread on OEM tie rods. Definitely go the Todds tie rods or modify yours the way they do it...

Do not cut more threads, the rods are actually hollow so the structural integrity of the rods will be compromised if you cut a thread into it

^ he is the man for todds modified tie rods. I also think js racing also have a shortened tie rod but is quite expensive. Theres been a few for sale lately. Try the for sale section

There was also a thread on clubrsx where a guy had similar experience with the j's rods, Todds rods being oem seem to provide happy motoring
