Yes my knob always heats up in heavy and hot situations :P

Dude its metal, you should know it conducts heats from sun, rod linkage, gear oil heating up etc.

Unless your hand looks like it lost a fight with a clothing iron, i'd stop being so paranoid.
Honda Nationals, September 9-10, get amongst it!

Long drive, left hand wears a glove.
This is how i avoid this issue, if it's a short driver, no dramas but whenever i've had to do long drives in the DC5R, glove on left hand is a must for the gearknob.

I'd LOLED so hard at this ... sarcasm

the gearknob will get "warm", but it definitely wouldn't get "hot" by either driving too long or hard driving.

only gets hot when you leave your car sit in the sun.

poeple find this funny.. but i think its a great idea.. Hand get hot, then sweaty then my hand slips when shifting.. Short drives no need.. But long or track think perfect!!!!!!!

track fair enough, but wearing a SINGLE glove for the street because the gearnob gets too hot is a joke!
