Found that my gear stick gets hot after about 1 hr of driving.. Thinking its the Cat back sitting to close to the shift rod under neither.. Wrapped zorst in heat wrap.. Any one eles have this problem?? Thanks guys

Yes my knob always heats up in heavy and hot situations :P
Dude its metal, you should know it conducts heats from sun, rod linkage, gear oil heating up etc.
Unless your hand looks like it lost a fight with a clothing iron, i'd stop being so paranoid.Honda Nationals, September 9-10, get amongst it!

This is how i avoid this issue, if it's a short driver, no dramas but whenever i've had to do long drives in the DC5R, glove on left hand is a must for the gearknob.

I'd LOLED so hard at this ... sarcasm
the gearknob will get "warm", but it definitely wouldn't get "hot" by either driving too long or hard driving.Last edited by Stephen_AUS; 17-02-12, 02:52 AM.

Na its not to do with the sun.. It fine when i start it up.. And after a while it will get hot.. Found my b pipe sits like 20mm away from it from below.. Also the plastic start to get hot to inbetween the front seats next to the shifter.. Any ways i put heat wrap.. So ill no if fixed today!!!!!!!!sigpic
