Ultrasonic sensors: Work by sending out signals which bounce off the inside of the car and back to the sensor, usefull in panel vans, not really beneficial to cars.
Shock Sensors 1: Mechanical works by means of a coil spring which vibrates when hit hard enough.
Shock Sensor 2: Electromagnetic works by means of two magnets facing each other, shocks cause the magnets to vibrate and set off the alarm.
Both shock sensors come in single or dual stage sensors, small impacts chirp the siren, hard impacts set it off.
Titl Sensor 1. Mercury switch type sets off the current when the mercury drops to make a connection
Tilt Sensor 2. Digital, detects movement from 4 - 7 degrees and sets off the alarm. Digital works much better.
Stay away from microwave sensors, there a pain in the ass./Oo ___H___ oO\

So Are both ultrasonic and tilt sensors highly necessary?
And do shock sensors come standard in the m80 series?

I reccomend you get the glass break sensor, it is much less likely to false.
no additional sensors are necessary but if your going to get it done you may as well do it all at once.
Get the glass break and tilt sensor.
Once the job is done crawl under the dash and see if you can find it, take off the lower dash panel, as this will be the first panel ripped off by a thief.
The second spot you should check is behind the glove box on the passenger side, pop out ur glovebox, if the alarm is there say goodbye to ur much hard earned cash.
If you can see the alarm, you have just wasted $700 or more./Oo ___H___ oO\

hey mate i worked for k.c.car.radios yagoona like 4 or 5 years ago but i tell u this most alarms have the code hopping, its best the get one with all black wiring with a 2point imobilser like the mongoose mx60 or the newer one mx80 they also come with the turbo relay with them. should cost u 150 for the mx60 and about 180 for the mx80 but thats without installing it. plus u would need a central locking motor for the drivers door to make it work with the central locking ok that would cost u like 5 dollars hehheemugen twin loop cat back.
used but got the papers for it askin 800 ono

just do what mr bean does..
take off the steering wheel, chain the wheel to something
then padlock it
then throw the key in thru the back window
then get another key to do something else...
