hmm, yeh when i mocked mine up in the same spot as yours there was a lot of slack and things in the way of the harness. Ill try again in the next couple of days and take a pic if it fails again to show you exactly what im talkinf about, i have a feeling im not explaining it well enough

Yeh Tegiwa does make replica stuff, for our cars though you have the option of NRG, Tegiwa (stanless steel vs mild steel for NRG) and Sparco (~$600) for out of the box. For me my shoulders are higher then the shoulder holes in the seat so id imagine it would put more pressure on my back not having one, hard decision in terms of safety.....

Yeah I've got about 10 of them. If you go ahead with the harness bar let me know. I rarely carry more than 1 passenger in my car (hence the lack of rear seats) so wouldn't mind getting one.

          haha thats awesome

I will send Tegiwa a few emails regarding the design specs of the bars, they look exactly the same as the sparco bars. Passengers, they only make the car slower lol, i never drive more then 1 person around so having a fat bar in the back doesnt bother me either.

Cheers for the troubles Matt much appreciated, ill let you know how i go with the darn eye bolt!

although Tom's strategy is good, running a harness whilst not at an organised race event is pretty dumb, especially without a roll cage...

if you want some extra support, without compromising your and others safety consider running a CG lock...

Not ideal though, so I always make a habit of not crashing.
Oh good. Stevan had me worried about the angle of the harness.

My seat was designed only to be used with a harness, I am aware of the danger regarding roof crush zone and head movement restriction however I believe this was more of a risk considering with an oem seat my head hit the roof and now I have at least 100mm more clearance. Still an issue in a big accident nonetheless....

I havnt heard of a gc lock before?

Timmy there is also a provision in the schroth manual that eases the recommended rear strap angle if your shoulder level is below the harness hole, this allows some vertical slack for spinal stress.

pays to be a shortass I guess

Bow and Arrow. Good for sticking to stuff which I won at Timezone. It'll come out in a few weeks maybe. Tee Vee snacks because I had a late night at my mech's the other day so bought snacks and they were left over and a walkie talkie so on cruises each car can keep in touch!

                            Thanks for the advice Tinks

Just got a good reply from ClubRSX as well....

You might be able to use a bracket like this one:

                            http://www.rennline.com/Harness-Moun...ductinfo/SA02/

It is meant for Porsches but it might work for this application too. Look around that site as there are several other similar ones that might work too.

                            Also look at this one:

                            http://www.hmsmotorsport.com/store/s...lt-in-brackets

                            It is number 01324.

I like the look of the 01324 bracket, ill have to take some measurements and ensure it will clear the stupid rail.
