I owned a base model DC5 auto with the leather and sunroof, now that car was a luxury granny "sporty" car that was kinda quick, but not really...I now own a TypeS, and I love it. but if I had to do it again, I would have tried to find a fairly good condition DC5R.

If you plan to mod your TypeS with kpro, it's an annoying exercise.

"Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
Horse power is how fast you hit the wall, torque is how far you take the wall with you."

if you want a car shaped like an egg, gives off a lot of rear brake dust, has a boot that you have to absolutely slam shut, can fit 4 people comfortably, have 18 inch wheels, have people staring at you and your car at traffic lights everyday, have triangular tailpipes (i don't know why), a funky dash, and airbags in the front seats, get a new CTR

            other than that...
look at what all the other people are writing down up over there
            '08 Odyssey + '10 Mazda CX-7 (fs btw) + '10 Mazda 2
wife made me sell the FN2R. bleh.

                  1. Research
                  2. Test drive
                  3. Approval (applicable if u have partner or wife)

Finally, ask yourself what is exactly u want, because someone's honey could be your poison (correct me if I am wrong, poor grammar)
                  Simply as this!

                  PS .
Even this topic was come up quite often, we should give the best opinion to the thread starter, not give them a hard time like I had before. YOU know what I am talking about, dxxkface!!

ha, some ITS owners are sensative about people reminding them that their cars are not close to Type R's... others just accept that they are great cars who's focus is more on daily driving rather than for the track.

CTR's fundamentals are not those of a track car, but rather a sporty hot hatch. basically the same power as the 2 others with an extra 300kg of weight, no LSD, non-independant rear suspension...

The CTR is a very cool hot hatch, wicked for city cruising and daily driving, but way behind the other two for spirited driving.

So, if you want a track car - ITR
If you want a jack of all trades - ITS
And for the cooler city cruiser - CTR

I dont think anyone would argue with that.

Pull your head in. The FN2 was doing high 1.14's around Wakefield by motormag. If the FN2 is so behind your DC5R then, does that mean in a stock DC5R you're going to run atleast 1.14's?

End of the day each car will suit drivers of different needs. Like already suggested, go and drive all 3 and think carefully if it will fit in to the job of the car.

I'm assuming by ITR you mean DC5R?
                                Dump all 3...
                                Get a DC2R... can't go wrong

BTW, my car is better than yours!!
