Ive got DC2R and love it, such a drivers car, you dont need me to harp on about it because anyone who's driven one iwll know what we're all talking about - so direct its almost unbelievable - and i've come from a Mazda3 MPS and this can hold my golf gear + kart. But due to travelling a bit and only having 56k on the clock im selling up and getting a DC5R coz ive got parts for one at work and the 6 speed will make it easier on the highway

(sneaky plug for my car in for sale sections)

if there was a difference, it would be almost unperceptable... i *think* that the cams changed to the Civic Type R ones, which added 3' of duration on the intake cam (only).

either that, or we always got CTR cams...

IMO it all balls down to what you are going to do with it, and if you are going to leave it stock or not.

I love DC2R's because they are raw, unlike the DC5R. And I prefer the interior set up of the DC2R - also the DC5R seats are too big for me.

I found in stock form... the DC5R was a boring car. Fun... but more boring than the DC2R.

DC2 is classic type R shape, I bought it cause i like the look of it better among other things.

i hate threads like this, everyone to their own. i've never driven a dc2r, and to be honest didn't even consider buying one to begine with as i dont like how they look (personal opnion so please dont flame me) but from what i've read/heard a dc2r is faster round the track and even when you mod both cars sussy wise, the dc2 is still faster round the track. but dc5r is faster straight line, and if you do same mods to both the dc5r will be heaps faster in the straights...jus my 2c

Test drive and personal taste. An insight is always good but at the end of the day you choose the better car not someone else.
