Don't worry about them Thanh...just get whatever car you want
I'd love a CTR if I can get over the rear...I don't care if it's slower then a DC5R or DC2R on the track...it'd probably still be a blast to drive on both the road and track so that's all that matters for me

i'm not phased.. everyone is entitled to an opinion right? sure it's not a die hard striped out race car like a type R should be, but i'm going to have to live with it every day. my primary concerns with driving it are safety, and it's something that the CTR seems to deliver in spades with side airbags and traction assist and what not. does it make me a shit/pussy driver? probably.. do i care? nope.
ATEOTD everyone has differing priorities when it comes to a car. i'm not an avid track person (may change) so the weight doesn't bother me at all but atm i see that the civic type r has all that i need from a car. i think it's all too easy to stand back and defend the car that you drive as being the better vehicle whilst shooting newer models down.
I agree that this car probably does suit you, but as I have posted before, is it really an advancement on DC5 or EP3? If you think so then thats truly fine.
As for being subjective, not at all. Objectively the car is better for you but not for me.
My car weighs 1070kg wet with 2/3 tank. It's lapping very fast on the track which is why I love it. The CTR won't do the same, lap times recorded in the UK mags prove this. VSA will be a hinderance, not a help on the track and turning it off the car will wheelspin. Then add the weight component etc and you can see where I am going.

Obviously you wanted to hit a nerve with your post, as shown in your follow up post. I suggest if you don't want a physical nerve hit then you stay away from me at the next event we happen to be at.
I'm sorry if i offended, that wasn't my intention at all. perhaps i shouldve rephrased what i said, but the way i took your implications re the gingervitis thing was fairly negative.
Ok I have calmed down. Look for the meaning behind Honda's Type R marketing. If you are still happy then I think you will end up with a good car but maybe not exactly what is marketed.
