All this talk of engine mounts has made me think maybe I should get some after almost 4years of ownership with standard mounts! Hardrace the ones to get??

I don't mind vibrations But would like to keep them to a minimum for the missus!

In terms of order of mods I think what's been stated is about right.. I started with

      Front Strut bar
      Intake
      Coilovers
      Rest of handling mods

Yeh hardrace are probably your option then. Mugen ones feel like stock so dont even bother with it as their price is rediculous.

in terms of exhaust..id recommend mugen if it fits in ur budget..its almost stock at idle/crusie due to the twinloop design but nice and loud in vtec.

mounts - i have inserts..costs 50 and does the job but have to deal with excessive cabin vibration (more than innovative 60a etc)

intake - gruppe m for bling..injen bang for buck
coilovers - depends how serious u are about the track
some cheap(<$100) mods ive done that really helped: shifter and cable bushing, short shifter.

u should aim to do all ur power mods at once if u can (intake, exhasut headers ecu etc)..save on tuning costs and also fuel due to the poor afr u will get with mods w/o a tune.

have a look at my thread to see my modlist and impressions..its probably a bit excessive though :P

doesnt the twinloop give less power gains than a regular straight through system?

cheers prash, still liking the catback systems from fujitsubo atm :|

intake ill be going a pod short ram, probably injen as not enough funding for gruppem (only 17)

coilovers im looking at bc or buddyclub, if i can get some cheap buddyclubs ill get them or else ill go bc

ecu wont be on the cards for a while as theres more id rathert do first, same with headers. but exhaust and intake will be within a year (first mods)

because your ona student budget, i'd be doing mods where you can get maximum benefit.

Mounts to improve driving feel, but mostly cos ur stock ones will eventually split/crack

injen cai to hear the note on crossover / or a cat back exhaust so you can hear a beefier exhaust note (fujistubo powergetter)

Coilovers to have car handling better/asethically looking ALOT better

THat should get you a few smiles when you drive your car.

on a low budget benefits wont be as easy to get. so i was thinking simply exhaust for sound matched with intake. coilovers and wheels to look boss. and then ill work on other stuff (mounts, sways etc)

mounts will be near the start just depends if dad lets me take it to get done :|

not sure where u got this from?..at low exhaust pressure it is more restrictive to give u more torque by maintaining exhaust backpressure..but once in vtec with higher exhaust pressure it effectively becomes a straight through..also it doesn not a have mid-silencer (due to twin loop design) like most other ones. Although i chose it due its sound charecteristics..Just watch the DC5 exhaust catalog on youtube. Should help you decide.

                              A) a good place to buy a fujitsubo exhaust for a good price
                              B) decide between rm01a and powegetter

You should know that Type Rs can be enjoyed even without mods. Purchase the car before even thinking about mods, especially seeing as you are on a low budget.
