Why'd you do performance mod's on a VTI-L.. Why not just buy a DC2 R and start from there??? Sorry if coming across of rude!!

        Hey Karl,
        (its a vti-r not vti-l )
I didn't have the funds for buying a DC2R, I could've saved up abit more but I take the VTiR as a learning scene, when I get a DC2R I'll know what mods to get and how to maintain it better I guess.

        Heres a few pictures

        When purchased

        Now

        Random

Right now I've been concetrating on the engine bay, just trying to keep it nice, clean, and simple lool.

        Thanks for the comments

you have any rims in mind that would suit the DC2? Nothing too exxy, like under 1k is my budget for rims... tyres budget will be $800.
2nd hand set of BBS rims, I've seen a few BBS RS rims on OzHonda for about 1k-1.2k... and they have decent offsets etc.

Check out Yahoo Japan, should be able to get a nice set of rims off there for cheap.

Personally, I'd try and save more money to get a set of decent 2nd hand rims, then get a set of cheap new rims.

                Well thought,

I really like the BBS RS now, suits the DC2 way better than what of rims I have thought of, thank you

I'll probably go 16inch rims? Or 15's? Offsets in these rims are very reasonable.

                Thanks!

16's fill out the guards perfectly, and still offer good tyres sizes for the DC2.

                      Hey guys,

been having bad days lately. Just paid 10k of tafe fees - feels bad but hopefully it'll be worth it.

Now yesturday morning I was going to change the g/box oil, recently car has been having this whining noise and sometimes its difficult to change the gears (like very difficult).

I took the old oil out, and only half a teaspoon came out. I was shocked. I was then like, hmm, it probably got burnt.

Then I tightened the nut, and poured in new oil, then it started to leak from 20cm RHS from the filling nut. I was like okay... must be a broken seal,

it was a hole, width of a thumb length of a half a thumb.

Very upset, so I'm trying to repair it for the time being. Probably get an ITR box, or probably get another C2.

I didn't have an issue with the C2 boxs, they're strong in all gears, works very well. So I may buy another one.

As for rims, I've just found a dealer in the US (10mins ago) that has my faviorate rims, and I'm set on these rims.

They have offset of 35+, 16x7, 4x100. It's perfect with abit of camber,

They're CCW's Classic, I think the polised rim will suit the purple, the mesh goes will with the DC2 shape.

They arn't that expensive as I thought it would be either

                      Thanks all

fuuuuu!!!!! lucky you noticed it... could have seized it all up and been much worse!

nothing much 'wrong' with the C2 box except teh 4.4 final drive... it is a bit low for spirited driving, unlike the ITR 4.7 which is very zingy...

plus the ITR LSD is worth at least 400 extra IMO...

Yeah thank god I noticed it, I normally don't check the gearbox regulary only when service dates a due.

ITR LSD sounds like the go, but do you know if theres another alternative other than the ITR box? Like say, rebuild another C2 box and do an LSD upgrade on that?

Right now I've tried to repair the hole with this epoxy putty thing. So far so good, the putty has turned into steel. Just going to put another coat of it, wait 1more day, fill the gearbox up, and test out the gears and clutch. I hope they are alright.

Thanks guys, have a happy new year

Share some thoughts on which suspension to choose please. I will be getting the DC2R coilovers, meaning I need the rear DC2R LCA, looking into F7 or Skunk2.

Goal is that I want a good track car, with stiff suspesnion that won't let me down. Budget is under 1.5K, could go slightly more up.

Sorry for the long as update, still use this forum everyday but havn't got time to right something up.

Not much changed, but Exhaust I've replaced and bought J's racing 60RS. Would have loved a Ti, but its too hard to source and the waiting game will be a handfull for me.

Eventually I bought front and rear ITR bars, the rear-end looked so much better I think personally, however the ITR Front doesn't turn me on as much. I'd love to go back to Preface front with Mugen lip. However, I just love JDM Front's aswell.

As my plan was to get CCW's, after a while I relized my funds will be raped just for rims, not including the shipping, + new tyres, then the wheel alignment, fitting & balancing. LOL.

Then I tried looking for rims here in QLD, found a set of rims I just fell in LOVE with, and they are 4x100, 16x7 with +30offset Advan RG's in original Pearl white!

Testing on how they would look

Then came small bits and pieces like wheel nuts, amber corners,
Then I bought a set of Buddy Club RSD - Freaking best mod I've ever done
Then got gauges, painted the brackets black.

Sorry for all this typing, but theres too much to list. So heres a few pictures of how the change all happend
