Well, i just got back from the SAU trackday, and it was a beautiful day without a cloud in the sky.

I'm super bloody tired, so i'll keep this really short.

Broke my PB 3 times today with a 1:10.44, 1:10.34, then topped it off with a 1:09.91 in the last session

Ya, the haltech did help quite a bit, but i think the best upgrade was the rotors. This was the first time in my life that i have changed my rotors in any car, and good lord, what a difference!
I realised during the first session that all my previous braking points have all gone out the window. The new rotors allowed me to brake super late in all the corners, thus allowing me to keep my foot on the gas that much longer before hitting the brakes.

It took me a few sessions to properly figure out all the new braking points, so i spent about 4 sessions testing it out, relearning the course, and waited til i had only enough petrol for a full flying session (trying to make the car as light as possible :P).
As the 2nd last session of the day came up, i went for it, and the moment i saw the 1:09 on my timer, i pulled into the pits and called it a day. I did however go out for 1 more session, but with a passenger just to have a bit of fun.

I think though, if the track temps were a bit higher (the sun was out, but it was still bloody cold!), i could have maybe gone a bit faster, but we'll never know for sure

note: i'll post some photos up when i "steal" them from the SAU forums (if they have the photos).

awesome write up dude, have you got braided brake lines in your car, and what pads do you use?? i drove my car once since wakefield and the brakes are non existent, like playdough im hoping its just the fluid.

I'm not using braided brake lines, and i'm currently using Endless Type R brake pads. With my limited experience with pads, i found that endless brake pads tend to not loose any bite until its al gone. Then again, it could be the calipers that help quite a bit. I never tracked my car with the stock calipers before.

Well i was put into the fast group so the cars were running at least the same as i was, and some running sub 1:08's. Lets just say that most of the cars in my group came with a trailer

Now all i have left to do is get some new sway bars, rotors, brake pads, rear camber kit and tie rods, then i'll be done in terms of my handling mods.

Can't wait til everything is done
