I did the EC race school. They teach you a lot, and you get a lot of track time. I did a total of 60 laps that day.
The only drawback is that you have radicals and porsche cup cars on the track with you at all times, so you have to keep a constant lookout for them.
Some of you have already heard, but others not, but after much thought and discussion with proconcept, i will be taking my car off the road to be made into not a track car, but a race car.
My goal is to race in the Merdeka 12hr endurance race in Malaysia in 2012. With that said, i'll be joining the IPRA races next year in preparation for this event, and use the IPRA as a form of testing the car and experience gaining for me.
As this car will be an endurance car, i will be going for reliability as opposed to all out power. Pushing maybe only 150-160kw, keeping most of the engine internals quite stock.
This will be a full FIA approved racecar, and with that said, there are many, and i mean many rules and regulations that i have to abide by and limits what i can do to the car. For example, the TB, intake manifold and airbox all have to remain stock. Sucks, i know.
Here's a link to the endurance race if your interested to see what its about, along with all the rules and regulations:- http://www.malaysiangp.com.my/node/1/6
I'm entrusting this build with Proconcept, as i don't and will never trust anyone else with it. They will handle all major upgrades from engine work to aero design. They have proper race experience which will be invaluable. They have also agreed to be my support crew in Malaysia
Anyways, i've gotten someone to design my race liveries, i'm pretty happy with the rough design of it (the tribal design will not be on the end product, this is just a mock design) but am undecided on the colour. Any help in this matter will be much appreciated.
like the white and black one.....just my personal preferance, and 2nd preferance is yellow and black which match very well. All the best with your race build and will be keeping both eyes on this thread .
