            a bit of an update:

attended the CC track day today at wakefield. Wasnt too optimistic when driving out considering the weather was awful. But it was nice and sunny when i got there so i set my self a target of 1:15 by the end of the day. My previous PB was 1:17.3 i think. Took the first passenger session to learn the track again and miraculously on my first session i managed my new PB of 1:16.0..AS the day went on i got Berty to sit in with and drive my car as well and after that i felt i was a lot smoother with the car but for some reason the laptimes werent reflecting this...I have a feeling that when it pissed down with rain midway all the grip from the rubber laid down prior to it was lost (imo anyway :P)..anyways on all in all it was a fun day and driving on a track for the 1st time in the wet was certainly a fun experience.

On the downside: the cable to the front right edfc motor was torn (the insulation had worn out from rubbing the axle) and therefore i was unable to adjust my damper settings so god knows what settings they were on (they were probably all on different levels). Also i have no idea why this happened but my front lip came off on the main straight and i ran straight over it at 160+km/h!...thankfully there was no damage to the car and i didnt puncture a tyre or anything. I do apologise to anyone who was following me. Therefore i am currently on the lookout for a replacement front lip so car doesnt look more like a 4wd than it already does :P..will try and get some of the vids i took up soon!

haha yeah i realised how quick it actually is once it was in your hands ..thanks for the extensive coaching!

Anywyas..headed to ISMR today to get a post trackday service and checkup and sort out my edfc issue. The cable's been rubbing against the cable and its pretty much ripped off. As my car is no longer a daily driver...I have decided to completely remove the edfc unit, motors and harness and just set the sussy on the stiffest setting at the front and bit looser at the rear to cure the chronic dc5 liftoff oversteer issue. As the sussy is going to be taken out I might decide to lower the car another half an inch or so..Hopefully i dont have any rubbing issues with my unrolled guards :P.. This will all be done on wednesday so will post up comments, pics and alignment settings after.

Well done Prash, I am sure your PB will continue to tumble. Not too sure about this chronic oversteer though, I wish my car had some of that instead of the chronic understeer.

that was when my car was daily driver..it no longer is..also gonna have to get some wooden planks so that i can make it up my driveway (this is without my front lip on)

Thanks Tom!..I think i cured it a bit by loosening the rear swaybar and softening the dampers a bit..but its still there

Anyways headed to jax tyres today and here are the results :

As you can see i have perfect front caster..although the camber is a bit excessive..imo anyway :P. The rear camber is fairly decent as well.
You'll notice the rhd camber is less than lhd. This is to compensate for my weight when im in the car (I weigh approx 70kgs). Suggestions welcome!

The guy had jax recommended I get my car corner weighted to really top it off so my question is where do i get this done? (heasmans?)..whats involved and how much would it cost? Would like to do this before I hit the track next.

Also for those wanting pics, you'll have to wait a bit until i get my front lip on..im going on holiday for a week so will do it when i come back ..The car had a hard time just making it up on to the alignment ramp :P

Hey Phrash, is it important to take into consideration the weight loading of the driver when getting the alignment done?

Makes sense doesnt it?..if you take into account your weight and the spring rating to see how much it moves.

I really cant remember, but im thinking positive toe means it is toeing in, giving you understeer. I prefer to have toe out to have the car oversteer as being FF, thats a problem our cars suffer from.

Since you siad you have chronic oversteer issues this amount of toe in should definitely cure this problem for you.
