decided to take out A/C...i know, i know, all my mates been giving me shit about it but i never use it any way and it ways a tonn! so now phill is measuring a custome belt cause the A/C compresor will be removed. at this rate this rice bucket will never get finished lol

Compressor, condensor and pipes were 13kgs all up when taken out of my car.

Umm this might be a stupid question but what does that belt do that a belt from Honda does not do? And will it work with a K24?

the honda belt is too long, cause im taking out the a/c compressor. end of the day though a belt is a belt, probably end up with a custom one just because i dont want to hold up the build any longer lol

What about the belt for the DC5R with no air con? Will that not work? Am I missing something very obvious here?

Well when I bought mine A/C was optional, but as far as I know if you wanted a non A/C car you had to wait for it to be built and come from Japan because the overwhelming majority were made with A/C. I just looked in the original brochure I got from Honda when I acquired my car and A/C was definitely optional, so there must be a belt for the non A/C cars.

holy fuk 15-20 kgs for a/c.. i barely use a/c! only once in a long time wen my glass fogs up..

shud look heaps cleaner too! i mite be keen to take it out also!

Tom there's enough play the the tensioner pulley to fit the belt on the longer K24 block. If there's a Honda non A/C belt that'd be fine. You can't get them here though. I spoke with 3 Gonda dealers and none of them were interested. I got the Js one through sheer convenience. It was just dropped into a box coming over.
