rbc is being port matched to the t/b, and the head will be sent away for servicing and getting the valve guids put in. shouldn't be too long now just waiting on some new cams

- K24 bottom end bored out to a 2.5L
- K20a2 head
- More aggressive cams in the K20a2 head
- Using your current DC5R gearbox

bit of an update...some good some bad....

bad:
turns out my second gear is completely rounded, so now i have to get another second gear from honda ($$$$$$$$$$$$$) will find out tomorrow how much it's gonna set me back, hopefully its not too much of a rapage.

good:
cams turned up today (toda spec C S2) and the engine is now put together, waiting for the gearbox to be repaired and for the intake manifold to turn up from the machining shop.

looks like ill be picking up the car on the weekend if everything goes to plan...fingers crossed

thats sounds like the same thing that happened to me (Gearbox)... wasn't cheap... any apparently, the guy that rebuilt my gearbox said that you can't buy the part separate, and have to get the entire section (God knows why). But my car was completely undriveable, as soon as you started to take your foot off the clutch pedal it would shake violently. Hopefully its not has bad as mine.

nah, everything else in the gearbox is fine, so just second gear and 1st-2nd syncros. i think u can get each gear seperately...will find out tomorrow. hope its not too exxy

Otherwise you could run a 5-speed box, and try and retro fit your OEM LSD to it... I hear alot of the K-series drag cars in the states are running the 5-speed over the 6-speed.

yeh 5 speed box is good for boost applications because of its longer gear ratios...not so much for NA. will just replace the gear and see how she holds up from here on.

update....

decided to take out A/C...i know, i know, all my mates been giving me shit about it but i never use it any way and it ways a tonn! so now phill is measuring a custome belt cause the A/C compresor will be removed. at this rate this rice bucket will never get finished lol

engine has been put back in last night, everything fit properly except the bracket on the headers has to be modified cause of the taller block...so now we're waiting on the intake manifold to get done, custom belt and a custom tube from the t/b to the injen as the position of the t/b changed....doesn't look like im getting the car back till the weekend of the 11th

also looks like im trying out another tuner
