      UPDATE 12/8/15

Was originally planning to get the te37sl's fitted after I had the car on coilovers, but decided to experiment with fitment on stock suspension. Here it is....

No problems with fitment on stock sussy, no rubbing, didn't need to modify guards and didn't need to run camber kits! However, I do plan on lowering car on coilovers in the near future, since I also have all the necessary camber kits, shortened tie rods etc.

As for tyres, I was originally going to run with my trusty Bridgestone Potenza's, however I decided to give the Momo Outrun M3's a go, since they were only $470 for all 4 corners! Coming from a quality brand, and a low price, I assume the relatively cheap price came about from trying to gain quick market share, and after reading nothing but good things from the SkylinesAU forums, I decided to become the test guinea pig from ClubITR haha.

I will definitely post a review on these tyres after a couple thousand km's! So far, from the week or so i've had them, they havn't let me down one bit.

So, since i've finished all my original plans for the car (exhaust and wheels), my new plans are:

      - Coilovers (i'm thinking about becoming the guinea pig again for the blitz zz-r coilovers, as I havn't seen one review about them on dc5)
      - Genuine Mugen front bar or lip kit
      - Gruppe M

If you get the Blitz coilovers definitely give a review! I saw a set on the shelf in an autostore in Japan and the quality looks very good Good choice with the Mugen headers at cat to! I have the same in my car and love it!

Just my opinion Dan but for the same money or even less once you include shipping they would probably end up costing more than the BC BR. I do welcome you being the guinea pig though as I was also considering the ZZ-R when I was in the market for my first set of coilovers!

Loving the 4WD height, reminds me of Hau's DC5R before it was on coilovers

Will do! They do look very clean and good quality. Great choice on the mugen, I love the note it gives out both as a daily and in vtec

Cheers Shak, I was looking at BC BR, same price as the blitz ones at justjap, but I just want to try out something new and feel a bit more "unique". Ahhh I need some more low ASAP.

Keen to see the review on the MOMO's. I was in the same boat as well, choosing between the momo's and potenza... Ended up with the re003 as I got a really good price on them (550 for all four)

But do let me know how the momo's go!

                            Update 19/10/2015

Was time for a brake upgrade so I picked up a pair of jdm dc5r brembo calipers (thanks Shak!) Straight bolt on with S2000 rotors, and came with Project Mu HC+ pads.

As promised, a short review on the Momo Outrun M3 tyres.

Driven over 3000km's with these and held up well both in the rain and dry. They are also somewhat quiet, which is also a bonus. An excellent choice for students on a budget, very good bang for buck! I picked up a set of 4 for close to $500.

                            Technical specs according to Momo:

                            Treadwear: 280
                            Traction: A
                            Temperature: A

                            My Final verdict: 7.5/10

Not quite as good as my old potenzas I feel, but a very good tyre for the price! I can corner quite quickly and still maintain excellent grip. The only negative is that it's prone to getting small stones stuck in the tread which makes an annoying clicking noise when driving.

Random shot of the car right under the Anzac Bridge

                                UPDATE 22/10/16

I haven't updated this thread in about a year, so I thought I might as well since I have some new goodies

Firstly, my clutch was starting to slip, so this was the perfect excuse to change both clutch and flywheel. Enter the ORC 309 clutch and flywheel, courtesy of Perfectrun.

Looks so pretty straight out of the box, and definitely feels very different from OEM. Very un-user friendly in busy traffic as the friction point is quite narrow. I managed to stall about 5 times on the way home, but you do get used to it after a few drives. Also, it makes a rattle noise if you clutch in while idling, a bit like a quiet jackhammer and people around would think there's something wrong with the car, but on the move it sounds a little bit like a blow-off valve xD. If you do plan on getting this, get the silent version.

I also managed to get my hands on a genuine Mugen rear lip, and a jdm rear bar!

Admittedly, the bar isn't in the best shape, but it'll be fixed and resprayed when I get around to that.

I also decided to change the intake for that enhanced vtec sound. Ended up going with a GruppeM, courtesy of xposed, who I believe is on this forum. The vtec crossover sounds mental!

Finally, pulling out the big guns. My new coilovers! Was contemplating a few brands, but ended up going with the Ohlins DFV, courtesy of everyones mate, Mr Streeter!

Again, such a beautiful piece straight out of the box, almost makes me feel bad for putting them on. Had them installed by East Coast Suspension, along with the front and rear camber kits, and shortened tie rods. Props to them, Dave was very helpful! He lowered it 1.5 inches from stock, enough for a 2 finger gap, which is perfect for a daily, as well as an alignment and corner weighting, all included in the install. First thing I noticed was the very quick steering response, whilst being able to soak up the harsh Sydney roads fairly well, much better than what the stock suspension could. Will provide a better review once these have settled in and I fiddle around with the dampening.

Here's what she looks like as of now.

Will update when mugen rear lip and jdm bar is on.
