Look forward to the pics! I'm just going to use Kill Rust spray...no need for primer, haha!
Its looking pretty good atm lol, forgot my camera at the panel shop :\, when you decide to paint your boot area if you do, ensure you rub the area's back to bare metal (Area's that are rusted) to remove all of the rust then use a 1k spot primer on those area's then you can follow it using kill rust based paint, the interior does not require full prime, using a red scotchy will prepair it well! Take your time with masking the car as if you are not doing it with a gun it will not be a 2k paint it will be acrylic ( Very thin paint, requires more coats at least 4-7 coats as Milano Red is a blue based red and does not cover very well..) Acrylic over spray travels very very very far and you are almost guaranteed over spray on the exterior of the car inc dash door cards etc..
Nice meeting you too dude!, We were soo impressed with the effort and the time you put in to do it right the first time ! All i can say is it was certainly worth it.. I look forward to seeing how it comes along
Thanks for the tip! In which case, maybe I should just brush it on?
I've also discovered a bit of rust under some seam sealer in the boot - can't see it from outside as hidden by the bumper. Might have some panel separation too

Haha thank you for the kind words! Hope to see you at end of year meet!
Someone today provided me with a free cf bonnet, not in the best condition in regards to clear and fade, how ever I am preparing the treatment for the gel coat tomorrow and I will have some pictures of the before and after
I have been a little bit lazy due to work so I haven't had much time to make a update, these are the recent changes and some pictures, after painting the rear end of the car, it looks great, how ever we have now decided to strip the paint back again. lol... and repaint the car how ever this time around we want to finish the job, the carpet has now been removed and well as the head liner and cant rail covers.. Soon the dash will be coming out so we can paint the full interior and replace all the interior plastics eg kick panels and carbon power window cover's etc
The cars dashboard that's currently in it and both door trims, phenominal condition black recaros + GREAT condition floor mats etc are for sale, Great condition.. But I have decided to order a brand new dash and door cards from Honda again to complete the brand new interior that I am looking for.
Also found someone online that just wanted stock dc2r rails so we did a straight swap and I ended up with some now discontinued Vision Low rails.
Also was given a Free CF bonnet, it was in horrible shape in regards to the clear and Gel coat faded, stains all through it, even someone's attempt to hand polish it loll.. I took it because i knew i could bring it back to like new, although it didn't really bother me that it was in that shape as I am going to paint the bonnet anyway.
Thank you !, The bonnet will be painted red, although refinishing the exterior of the car in not needed at all but will still be getting done as a nice finish to the build, If I paint it now, Could risk some scratched accidental bumps when I take the car to have items fitted etc & I will have to paint the front bar guards and blend the 2 front door's ( Some may read this and say NO u don't..., But I know first hand that there will be a colour difference no matter how small, I would prefer a un-noticeable transition through the doors)
But for now I decided to bring it back to its former glory and just let it sit for a couple of month, still funding the interior and some other parts
In regards to your car, when you are available let me know as we discussed and I can go through some options with you
I like when I see another Milano red dc2r [emoji108][emoji6] love it
Thank's !, I believe I saw your car and spoke to you at WTA, did you have the green wheels ?
Another minor update..
1. BeatRush Xbrace Installed ( Rubbed and Machine Buffed the Alloy, Re-Powder coated the gold, didn't really like it at all, The gun metal looks okay.... but its getting sent in for another re-powder coat to another shade )
2. Carbing Tower Brace Installed
3. Mugen Mirror Cover Installed
4. Genuine USDM Honda Access Visors Installed
5. Carbon GT3 Mirror Installed ( About 2 Weeks ago now forgot to mention )
- Also a picture of the bonnet in the sun to actually see the difference as everything in the shade always looks better lol
