haha yeah the shift light is awesome, especially on the track, i could keep myself concentrated on the road and the beep will tell me when to shift, although i don't know how long that will last, when i get an exhaust i don't think ill hear it :/ Nah i haven't tried 0-100 yet, although mine reads about 3-4kph over the actual.

Super good times for stock car man. I'm doing the exact same thing in a few months. 2 track days in May/June and just going to track the car stock to have a base lap time to refer back to.
Also have a defi advance zd in shipping atm so cool to see it work
I'm assuming you're just running a sandwich plate between the oil filter to get the sensor locations for oil pres/temp. What brand did you go?

it's an awesome little unit man you'll love it For that track day i didn't run any temp sensors because i bought the display a day before and didn't have time to install anything haha, but i wanted to see it work so i had to at least get the shift light and speedo set up...but i have a Mishimoto oil cooler and sandwich plate left over from my old car that I'm going to install before the next track day so i'll put the sensor's in that sandwich plate

Nice driving mate. The S2000 out of the box is already a great car.

oh sweet was looking at the mishimoto one as i have a mishimoto radiator but it ended up being so expensive cause shipping was ridiculous so i got the greddy one instead. much easier option than tapping into sump and the block to fit sensors

Yeah thats way too much of a hassle, much easier to install them using a sandwich plate, especially on the s2000 where the oil filter housing is so accessible.

So I've owned the car now for around 3 weeks and I was starting to crave some engine sound and i desperately needed to eliminate the massive wheel gap that the car has on stock suspension. I didn't really have a plan for what coilovers i wanted to buy but for the exhaust i wanted 70mm piping and preferably single outlet, i came across a amuse r1 titan single outlet but the fact that it was 60mm was putting me off. I almost went for a custom titanium cat-back similar to the one BYP use on their s2000, but before i made the final decision, an Invidia Q300 popped up in used but very very good condition, I didn't know much about the exhaust but when i found out the B-pipe was 70mm i was sold, i knew then that if i ever wanted to go single outlet all i needed to do was get a 70mm axle back made up.

I then found out the same guy was selling 2000km old BC BR coilovers, he agreed to sell both to me for a bargain of a price so i purchased them.

exhaust and coils in, loving the look of the rear end with those polished mufflers

Gotta love how a little bit of low can change the look of a car for the better . Some people will know 95% of the time after lowering an s2000 you will get CV shaft vibrations causing the requirement of drive shaft spacers, new cv's or a cv bucket swap from left to right. I decided to take the car for a drive before doing any of this so i could get a gauge on how badly worn the cv's were, but to my surprise there was no vibration what so ever so that was quite a relief.

this is how she sits right now...

The Invidia exhaust sounds absolutely awesome! It's quiet at cruising speeds with little to no drone but screams on vtec, I love it

The BC coilovers are on a mild setting which is very comfortable for the street, but the difference to handling is still immense even at that setting. The real test will be at the next wakefield day, can't wait

Coilovers and exhaust make a big difference man. Completely change the car. I like it.
                            Definitely getting coils next!

Regarding the driveshaft spacers. There are a lot of misconceptions with them. The buckets will wear with or without the spacers and whether you're lowered or not. Lowering the car speeds up this process and wears away at a specific spot. This is when the noises will start. Once they start making a noise this is the best time to put the spacers in as it results in a new spot getting worn and extends the life of the driveshafts.

Best idea is to buy a set and have them handy for when this happens. Make sure you get 2 piece spacers as the process involved to fit the one piece requires you to disconnect the driveshaft completely and you may as well just remove and replace it.

                            Hope this helps

ahhh right got ya, i was under the impression that lowering the car would slide the spider within the bucket further into the wear "pit" causing them to move around, but that clears it up thanks for the info

what coils are you looking to get? I've been following your build thread too man, loving what you've done so far

The spider is what causes the vibrations and knocking etc. After a while it leaves a wear spot on the bucket. Lowering the car moves the spider (how far it moves depends on how low you go) the vibrations are caused by the spider moving between the new wear spot and the old one this is all. If you've lowered your car and there's no vibrations (yet) leave it and once the vibrations start then install the spacers.

Thanks for the kind words man
I'm looking at tein and bilstein mostly and at this stage I'll just go tein monoflex 10kg all round. Undecided on whether I'll also get edfc as well or not
