How long did it take to sand down your car? I wanna respray mine the same colour and it'll cost less if I sand it myself but I've never done it before :s Is it a noob friendly job?

Hi Jay, its really really easy dude if you were to use the more finer grit it will take a bit longer but will cause less mistakes, 1200 is perfect to sand it down.. you'll have to sand it down so its all cloudy so no shiny sections left.
You will need a flat hand.. and try to go in all sorts of directions when sanding because if you were to go horizontal only.. it will leave sand marks and you can actually see it once you have laid down the paint and that will look very ugly lol.

Don't put too much pressure when you're sanding let the wet sand paper and water do the job you just need to glide your hand across p.s i used my hand to sand it all down not a block as i have more control using my hand plus you have a more less chance of over sanding to the primer.

You will need clean water cold or warm up to you, some people use a hose to clean as you go or if you're conservative you can use a water bottle spray but i just used a bucket of fresh water and changed it as it gets dirty/dirt or sand will fly in eventually and will scratch your paint even more when you sand. Feel free to contact me anytime i can help you along the way

LOL, yeah dude it's a no go. When i got the car it had rock chips all over the bonnet, guards, front bumper and lip.. And tiny dents around the car well 3-5 to be exact, all my previous cars had excellent condition paint. And makes me sad when i see it in this condition very OCD with the paint haha.

yeap got the paint today from the paint shop, looks so blueeeeeeeeee..

3 Litres of Artic blue pearl paint code B-507P
5 Litres of HS Clear = High solid clear which is very good for metallic paint as its a much thicker clear, means later on you can cut/buff/polish.
4 Litre of paint thinner - to thin down the paint
4 Litres of the activator - this is to harden the clear faster make it more hard/solid
4 Measuring Mixing cups - to mix the paint as accurate as possible.

Purchased all of this from ISSA PAINTS in smithfield ! nice bloke owners name is jimmy, make sure you know what you want though as his not going to spoon feed you as that is his pet hate lol

Got myself one of these for my mugen rear lip

Video of it in action F1 style 4th brake light that flashes and goes solid.

F1 cars use it as a fog light, not a brake light.

If you set it up the same, it'll look good.

I always liked it as long as my car is not a rice grain with supporting rice mods, im sure it won't look that bad

                                Each to their own
