Will start on the passenger door dismantle this week and hopefully have that stripped too.

Man this is so beautiful. I would do the exact same thing as you are doing. 100%
Keep up the good work bud.
Cheers Jorge!
There is some discussions about K-swaps on NSXPrime and they certainly have caused a stir! "You can't put a 4 cylinder in an NSX! The Honda gods will strike you down etc etc"
The NSX engine is still a pretty cool thing though, 90 degree V6 makes a unique note compared to the majority of 60 degree V6's. There is a guy doing a J-swap on NSXPrime actually, looks very interesting. He got a rolling shell and decided to go down the J motor path.
For now, my engine runs strong. It doesn't use oil or have any major issues, so initially I'll probably just service the heads and sort out the noisy LMA's and weeping gaskets and run with that for a while.... until I get bored I daresay a nice set of headers and exhaust will go on at the same time as those other items get done.

There is no way I would take out that beutiful 6 and throw in a k20. I've seen a k20 conversion done in a particular one in the states but no thread to follow. Thought photoshopped but kinda looked legit at the same time. But to me that is just like turbocharging a Ferrari. You just don't do it.
I can't wait till this is on the road man. Love this car so much and I WILL own one day. I just have to have one to experience Hondas pinnacle of road going sports cars.
I'm sure no corners will be cut in your case with restoring it and I'm sure the results will show very soon.

I'm getting more excited about the project as it goes on. I can't wait til the day I register it and go on that first drive...!
I hope you do get an NSX - I'm sure I'll still have mine so we'll go for a cruise

Good luck with it buddy
Thanks again

Just some pics of retrimming the door speaker grilles I found from earlier.
I used a lot finer grille cloth I had from a previous hifi project. Looks much nicer than the coarse OEM stuff I think.
Refinishing some scratched door trim inserts... not sure on final colour choice yet but the matte black turned out quite well for a first attempt.
After some wet sanding..
After some paint.. not fully dry in these pics.
Had my DC2R seats out for cleaning. Next to a new NSX seat, Recaro Pole Position, which will eventually be trimmed in Alcatara and Leather with red stitching.

It looks upset with me

Not really a single dint I can find in this door. Pretty impressive after 22 years I think!
Those pesky door lock holes.. no more crusty layers of paint now.
Many fasteners organised into zip lock bags and labeled.
Clips and stickers removed from door jam ready to sand back for paint eventually.
