Hey guys!
I bought my DC5 back in January, and back then I had no idea how much I would fall in love with it. It's definitely had its ups and downs, there were all sorts of problems with it from day 1.
I bought it in Queensland and began my roadtrip home to Tasmania. In Albury, I put my foot on the clutch and it didn't come back up. Great, the master cylinder was gone. So I learned to drive without a clutch. Getting onto the Spirit of Tasmania was interesting.
Since then so much money has been thrown into it. A new clutch, exhaust, front coilovers to name a few things.
Here it is the day I bought it:
Here it is last weekend:
It's reasonably stock, mods are as follows:
K&N Pod
Racing headers (Not sure of the brand)
Test pipe + catback sports exhaust
BC Racing Coilovers
Sports Ag Clutch
18" Tenzo R
5% tint - Takes a while to get used to but well worth it
Alpine X305S, Type R speakers, 2 Alpine amps and a Rockford P3 sub powered by a 2 farad capacitor
35w 6000k HIDs
Neons (Ricey, but girls love them)
Hasport Engine Mounts
There's some other small things, and I have plans for much more. I just need the money.
Some plans:
Nexus 7 head unit (Trying to sort issues before I begin, such as high quality audio with the sub and 4x amp)
High flow cat
Tegiwai cold air intake
Painting the Tenzo's gunmetal grey, maybe.
K-pro!
Chances are not much will happen until I'm earning a bit more in a more stable job
Some more pictures
Somehow I passed a roadworthy, this is just before the new plates went on!
My friend experiencing vtec after driving an Excel for years:
Having 5% tint and a mattress in a coupe is a great combo. Perfect for sleeping and other activities, without any passers by knowing.
And my old car... It's embarrassing.
I hope you guys like it
