    UNDR8D type s

Hi guys, I'm Ashan, just thought I'd do a quick intro. I'm a 2nd year uni student at la trobe, work as a medical receptionist and currently own a magnesium metallic dc5 type s, my pride and joy

Over the 2 years I have owned it, it has had some minor mods.
Visually the car looks like your average type s, Just 6000k HID's and Upper grille removed.

Power train wise, it has plm headers, 100 cel cat, stock catback with xforce cannon, 410cc injectors, haltech platinum pro, tuned on e85 making 142kw at the wheels.

Short term goal is to get a set of rpf1's and bc racing rm coil overs.
In a year or so, a k20/24 with a set of kelford 179b's are definitely on the wish list

Will get pics up soon, it's not that much of a hassle finding places, although you find yourself at the pump more often. Thanks!

Thankyou I was just looking through your thread, that is one mint dc2r you have! I Have always wanted one, just couldn't find an unmolested one at the time of purchasing a car, so settled with a type s. Kind of regret the decision now, but oh well!

                ORANGE LINE - current setup
RED LINES - previous setup, open header vs stock catback

So after a retune at chequered tuning, the car made a peak of 145kw at the wheels. Initially i wasn't very happy with the figure, seeing as it only made 3 more kw up top compared to my last setup. But once, i had actually driven the car, it feels so much more different. The prb just lacks top end punch compared to the rbc, but the midrange was a lot better than the graph makes it out to be. The rbc is great up top, the power continuing all the way to 8k rpm without dropping off sharply like the prb manifold did at 7.4k rpm. Overall, the rbc is just a better manifold and has more potential, but prb definitely had better low end and mid range response, in my setup at least.

I was just about to ask about that mid range curve on the orange line!

Yea thats the rbc haha, the tuner spent a lot of time trying to bump it up, but i guess its just a characteristic of the manifold
