Back to the updates -

Picked up a Mugen front strut bar from a ClubITR member. I always wanted the Mugen strut bar not only because I am a brand whore but because I like it being a solid one piece design (whereas the spoon has three pieces). I'm not much of an engineer but IMO (someone can correct me) the brackets on the spoon strut bar can act as pivot points? Anyway I pretty much installed it as soon as I got home.

Purchased a miniature usb which I will store my music on for the camry's headunit. Thanks to fellow member Danny (DTN) for making me aware that such usb had existed.

Had a 6 month/5000km logbook service done at Top One. Also had my Project Mu rotors, and project mu hc+ pads installed in preparation for the upcoming trackday. Thanks to Boris and the team at Top One!

It seems that I really have bad luck when it comes to trackdays, something always happens when I go to the track. The ADVAN trackday at Wakefield Park would be no exception .
So what happened?
On the last turn before the main straight I spun out/lost control and had an accident. I turned a bit too early and the rear slid out. I tried to correct this but failed horribly haha. The car was then heading straight for the padded wall section of the main straight. Not wanting to hit head on I turned last second so that I'd hit sort of side on. The car had slowed down quite a bit before impact, probably around 5-10 km/h.
How did it happen?
In all honesty I really don't know.. I'm assuming it was a combination of lack of experience, and pushing too hard early on.
What's the damage?
I haven't got around to taking a proper picture yet. There are a couple dents on the driver's door, driver side mirror broken, driver headlight still intact but mounting tabs broken, right fender pushed in about 2cm, couple dents on rear quarter panel, bent radiator support.
The damage isn't as bad as it could have been but still somewhat excessive. Luckily it was a minor accident, and I'm still perfectly fine (except for the dent to my ego ).
I would like to say thanks to Ronnie a.k.a Mr Carbon Plus, who helped me bash the car back into place for a couple hours so I could drive it home. Also sorry to Napo for stealing your cheerleader .
Where do you go from here?
Well in the background I was organizing a few things with my buddy Jesse Streeter. I was always looking for an excuse to get the whole car fixed, and resprayed to my standards. Many others who have seen the car in person will know that it wasn't the cleanest car, and there were many imperfections in the body and paint. Here's a teaser of what I have planned, definitely no fake parts here:
