Nice way to start the day with these arriving at my door

Hey mate. Nice wheels and tyres. Been wanting to order from tirerack for awhile now. The shipping quote that they provide you, does that include customs tax etc? And with such a large item, would it not have a freight tax on board? And curiousity, how much did you pay in total for shipping to your front door?

                Hey Norm,

I believe if the product is under $1000 AUD then you don't have to pay any import tax. The shipping to my door was $ 348.48 via FedEx Economy (3-5 day tranist) I'm not entirely sure what this includes, but this was the final cost for the shipping.

Although during my conversation with the employee at Tirerack, he said 'Any taxes and duties will be collected on delivery.' But the only payment I made was for the tires and freight directly to Tirerack themselves.

                Hope that helps!

                      Get them on yo!

Also have to keep in mind Rookies tyres are smaller (15") than what you'd probably need Norm, so being under $1000 is more likely.

I'm going to try get one place to do the whole lot to try save cost (Tyre fitting, valve fitting, wheel alignment with camber plates etc).

So probably that place you recommended me Matt? What was their name again?

Techsport but you might want to double check they can put the tyres on first. Never had that done there before.

Techsport do tyre fitting and Zac (the mechanic there) is generally careful with wheels. They also usually charge by the hour and he is pretty fast so the price is often cheaper than flat rate tyre fitting at other workshops.

                              EDIT

Booked the car into Techsport. So keen to be running the new shoes and soles!
