Car looks very clean, and a nice uncommon colour. How did you go up at Winton?

Your understanding is probably pretty good, but if you want a 15x8 then I would go for a more conservative offset. If you at some point decide you want to use a 225/45R15 then it will be quite difficult to fit that tyre on a 15x8 with a +25 offset. The +36 offset of the 949Racing 6UL is probably a better choice, although I understand that they don't quite clear the rear suspension on a DC2 without a small spacer or some minor trimming.

        Thanks mate.
First track day, pretty happy with the result considering this and the fact my car is mostly stock. Managed a 2:02. All i could notice was my lack of grip. Better wheels and tires would make a ridiculous improvement.

I understand that the +25 was probably a bit more form rather that function.
I have been looking at the 6UL's a lot more, considering the 8's or even the 7.5's if im going to be running a 225 (Which i most likely will because it's not easy to find anything much wider for a 15').
I've also been considering just getting some 16x7 or 16x8 in case i consider upgrading my brake setup in the future. Although these sizes aren't as easy to find in 4x100PCD.

Didn't think wheels would be this difficult a decision

So i've got my heart set on some 949Racing 6UL's in 15x8.
Unfortunately, they are all out of stock in the colours i want for a few months. So i figured i could just save up til then and buy some tires at the same time.

Until then, im craving to spend some money.
Another thing i noticed i would really like to upgrade would be my rear sway bar cause its only 14mm thick :/ Now i'm not 100% sure on this, but as far as i am aware, in order to run a thicker one (OEM ITR, ASR) I need to have a subframe brace. Do you guys know if this is correct?

Itr sway bar is an Oem bar

Vtir -> Itr -> other after market brands.

Up grade to a Itr sway bar and an ASR sub frame brace. It's a nice affordable upgrade with a great performance benefit

Just the words of wisdom i was after thanks mate

Yeah i knew the ITR one was OEM, but its thicker so I thought you had to have the extra mounting hardware to run it on the VTIR.

I'll see what i can find, probably order the ASR subframe brace this week and have a look around for an ITR sway, or even just order an ASR sway considering its only going to cost me about $210

I hear good things about the white line sways and have for years. To ad the same cant be said for the other items. I don't know many people happy with there other stuff on the track.

i have over 350 race laps on mine and is still 100%.

but have just realised that OP has pre-facelift model and i have 98+ model, which has the Type R revisions in the chassis - so it is a slightly different scenario...

Yeah, hence my initial question about having to have the subframe brace to run it :/

I think either way i should get an ASR subframe brace and a new sway bar. By the sounds of it, the whiteline sway looks like a good investment.

                        Cheers for the info guys!

                            Dude that sucks!

Was going to get it from http://jdmaccessories.com.au/...Does sound interesting considering JDMyard has them for closer to $400. But who knows.

I've been looking around, and by the looks of it i can get a kit with ASR subframe brace and 24mm sway bar for around $400-500 from the US so i might grab that.
