A user on here sold it to me who posted the thread in the Technical area warning people about the counterfeit kpros.
I have PM'd him and am sure he will offer a refund since he seems like the user who genuinely wants to help people.
I don't know about you guys, but if I had the knowledge I sold something counterfeit I would reimburse the cost of the unit and chase down whoever sold it to me.
Even if I do get a refund, this doesn't help the fact I paid $800 for a useless fucking tune

Hmm out of curiosity for those in the future, did the kpro you bought come with the blue box and all the kmanager CDs etc or just the ecu unit alone?

Yeh I figured as much, for those after second hand kpro insist on all original boxes and software as well as checking the ecu itself. Hopefully you can come to an agreement with the seller peachy.

Yeah I bought it 2nd hand

EDIT: The seller unknowingly sold the counterfeit Kpro to me. He was not under the impression that it was counterfeit and as a good valued clubITR member, he is doing the right thing to rectify the problem. Thus far I'm happy with this users reaction to the problem and his response and actions about this problem only concrete the fact that he is a valued CITR member.

Update: The Counterfeit Kpro was bought off an apparently "genuine" tuning & parts supplier in Australia. Thus far, the matter has not been resolved and according to correspondence with Lemmiwinks, the registered business from where the Kpro was bought, has been unwilling to help. It has been two weeks with no resolution.
I don't know about you, but as a company, if I had unknowingly charged a customer for a counterfeit Kpro I would immediately rectify the problem by replacing the unit immediately.
Not very happy at all. This company will not be named as of yet, as I will contact them directly tomorrow to figure out the next course of action. Who knows, a phone call could solve this whole problem and instil confidence in this organizations customer service. If not, they have a bloody lot to loose by a very small community catching wind that they distribute fake Kpros and don't honour their clientèle by replacing the unit.
