When's the next winton track day? I'm very paranoid of racing on a track with other people, I'm inexperienced track wise.

Hey guys hope we're all well. It's been a while since I've posted on here, there have been no real mods since my last post apart from a Domo Kun plush toy that now keeps me company in the car. Apart from that, the car is how I've left it.
I recently had to fly interstate for a few days, then came home, didn't drive the car, then had to fly to Indonesia for a funeral, 9 days later I come back to drive the car. I get in, start it up and drive off. For the first 15 minutes when in neutral and no revs being applied, the car jumps from 1k-2.5k revs. Back and forth, back and forth. After about 15 minutes this stopped. Has anyone else had this occur after not driving the car for a while?
A few other problems:
1.) CEL Flickering: I've had this happen a few times. When I'm cruising at 70km/h at about 3.5-4k, my CEL flickered. I didn't hammer the car to get to 70km/h, just gradual acceleration.
- In addition to this. I was on a hill and had my handbrake up. Light goes green, I rev to about 2.5k, release the handbrake and drive off - I look down and notice my CEL flickered again.
2.) When down-shifting I get a knock sound. It appears to be coming from under the car, not too sure whether its from the engine bay or whether its directly under the car. I even get this knock when I'm shifting from 2nd to 1st at about 2k going about 5-10km/h. Obviously the higher the revs, the harder the knock.
Shit like this just makes me wish I hadn't spent all this cash on it

The hunting is probably the IACV sticking, there is a DIY to clean it on ClubRSX.
The CEL flickering is because the ECU is detecting knock. This is bad. Take the car back to your tuner and tell them they suck and to fix up high load/low RPM tuning.
The knock sound on downshift could be anything, I can't sift through your thread because my internets is capped but do you have aftermarket mounts?

Just to let you know. If you recently got your KPRO, the base map or something has something involving USA emissions thing. That box is usually ticked. I can't remember the exact one atm but its in the hondata program. Just double check that. Check your IACV like Tom said and give it a clean. Also just double check your throttle body and your TPS and see whether the tension on the throttle isn't playing up. My Hybrid Racing TB's throttle plate was playing up heaps and caused the unsettling idle. But I also had my CEL like come on whilst I've been driving for 10-15 minutes out of the blue, and that was due to not having the car tuned and getting the box ticked or unticked in regards to the USA emissions thing. I'll give you more precise information when I get home.

As what Tom said if the cel light is flickering when driving the motor is knocking which is bad. Get your tuner to recheck it over.BYP Racing & Developments

I agree with Tom.
Grab a datalog on your ECU to capture the CEL errors. 99% chance its knocking, but 1% it might be something else. A datalog will tell you what is going on.It also gives you some good evidence to bring up with your tuner.Official ClubITR Sponsor: www.autosphere.com.au - For all your maintenance, oils and track needs.
