LOL Felix now everyone thinks I'm some kind of SC2 god which I'm not. I honestly feel I'm pretty average and I'm not being modest here.

A very good initial gaugage of skill level is: can you beat a 1v1 insane comp in a custom game?

If you can't watch the replay of you losing to the comp and copy its build order as its very good (as a starting step).

I can beat the insane comp pretty easily now (depending on race, I find vs'ing Terran the hardest).

Just watch some pro matches mate and take notes. There's nothing wrong with copying people that are better than you. I just can't handle hot keys. I'm too used to a controller. I'd be staring at the keyboard trying to figure out how to build barracks.

I'm console through and through but would dabble in some casual SC2 games if I knew the other person was just as rubbish as me. Sounds worth a crack.
