      most honda prices are reasonable in japan for new parts
      while 2nd hand parts are pretty cheap

      honda parts been over price are cause by a few factors shipping cost, taxes, and business mark ups to make a profit

      causes the prices to be inflated

      and demand to a certain degree

      if you think it is a rip off dont buy it
      easy as that

          That's everything imported here. Honda ain't special, all imports are subjected to those factors.

            yeah...what really annoys me is that a good used turbocharger, with upgraded turbines costs about $1000, which is the same as a mugen pipe or pod in a box.

            A turbo would've required so much more research, engineering and manufacturing vs a pipe bent to fit the underbody of the car....and the gains are more too...

            as for catbacks being "tuned' to provide performance..... i don't believe that at all. I genuinely think a mandrel bent, stainless steel custom catback will be 99% similar to a mugen at 30% of the price...

            but ah well
