Time to choose!

Well I might have sold my Jazz so time to start looking for an Integra. My budget will most likley be around $20k since that's probably pusing every cent I have into it (minus insurance). I was thinking about these 3 cars since there aren't many advertised for sale and was just wondering what you guys thought.

Choice 1

Quite like the yellow but aren't they meant to come with yellow recaros too and not black? i.e. Would this mean that the car has had the yellow ones stolen?

Choice 2

Love the JDM-ness but worried about insurance since its an import + reliability since I don't know much about the JDM models. i.e. How to tell if something is up, is it a fake JDM and not genuine.

Choice 3

DC5R which is newer and I prefer but more exp. I may be able to talk some extra money though for this one and go over budget since the km's are a lot lower than the other two.

Anything I should specifically look out for or anyone know any other Type R's I'm missing out on?

Out of those cars I would pick the Yellow AUDM DC2R for the following reasons:

It has relatively low ks for an '00 DC2R,

It has nothing obviously dodgy from the pics,

I wanted a PY DC2R once upon a time .

The fellow with the 96 spec JDM DC2R is asking far too much in my opinion, a car that may have an unknown history, that is older and inferior to an AUDM car, should not command a higher price than an AUDM car. That car looks pretty genuinely JDM to me. The mods on that DC5R are fairly low budget and certainly don't warrant the premium price in my opinion.

Obviously I advise you to get any car very closely inspected, and try to get a someone knowledgable about the make to inspect the cars with you. Someone from this forum might even be willing to give you a hand.

Thanks for that. I think the fact the DC5R has only 52,000 km on it may be why the seller wants the higher price, so hopefully if I check it out in person I will be able to talk it down a little.

Nope late 2000 / early 2001 PY DC2R's got yellow recaros.

I too also wanted a PY DC2R with yellow recaros once upon a time.

Out of the 3 choice i would choose Dc2r PY
since in your budget, the JDM dc2r like Charger said unknown history.

Ah I guess I'd better check out the PY one then. I saw the red one but tbh I don't feel like a red car. haha. Red or Silver I probably won't go for since I've had a silver before and just feel like a change.

That car has been for sale for a long time, other forumers have looked at it so I'm guessing something it up with it.

There's a guy on here in melb selling a CW DC2R. I'm guessing you dont have privileges yet so here's the details:

1999 cw dc2r aus spec

86xxxkms just recently serviced: oil, oil filter spark plugs etc

the car it competely stock besides a whiteline sway, just installd bosch wipers other than that its completely stock.. stock unit etc immaculate condition

Ah thanks for that. Yeah I'm from Melb and can't see the FS section yet so I'm mainly searching carsales etc. for what I can find. I just hope my impatience doesn't get the better of me since I can't stand taking public transport to uni.
