1. everything was rushed. they seemed nervous
2. acting was a bit forced and unnatural
3. porsche review was terrible. is this the car show or top gear? ffs, tone down the talking and music and up the exhaust noise. i want to feel the acceleration etc.. it was boring. its like the director doesnt love cars and/or has never made or watched top gear. i could be a better director/producer!!! make me want the car.. show me how great it looks, give me angles. let me hear it.. they didnt do any of this. awful really!
4. 4WD challenge was stupid. racing off road is very silly and also very dangerous. it just shows which one of the guys was more stupid/brave not which car was best. racing on snow? very stupid! They just didnt think it through. 4WD's are not for racing.. they are for off-roading.. make the challenge appropriate to the cars.
5. shark thing. not remotely funny.. very contrived. unimaginative, clutching at straws.
6. terrible footage of the timed laps. just aweful. you have no idea what the car and/or driver is like. or even what the track layout is like.
I hope they improve as they relax a bit more and stop rushing it.. but i suspect its not going to improve.
I personally wouldnt care too much if it wasnt funny or was plain boring if the car reviews were detailed and they gave real insight and compared them properly.. but they fell far short.
Only 1 positive can be taken from this... the timed lap numbers will be interesting (i mean they did the GT-R without any fanfare and same with the V8 M3 so we know those times already which is very cool) and there will likely be no bullsh!t about wet Vs dry track so that is excellent. I suspect the aussie lap times table will be a better than the uk one due to the weather issues in Pomland.
if they are not actors then stop making them act? be honest instead..
i know first show.. rah rah... dont get me wrong though, i wont stop watching..
they could make a car show hosted by alexander downer and i'd probably still watch
ha ha! downer for Presentor!
and the "acting" you are percieving WILL go away, (hopefully verrry quickly!)
there will be massive feedback for them from their producers on the tinyest of things they did wrong... those tiny things that distract us from the thing they are presenting on...
