*sigh* my car got broken into

i was at a design conference when this happened... parked my car at star city at about 8:15am and got back to my car after the conference which was around 6pm and no where to be found... and i was 100% sure i left my car on the spot but had to go up and down the levels with star city security to be sure... (i had a 2 way in the car but not too sure why i didnt get the sms... maybe cos there werent any reception or they manage to get into the alarm system fairly quick) but we couldnt find it.... made a claim to NRMA and the police 30mins later and star city security rang me up to tell me they found my car at a different level...

at this point i thought ok... they mustve left it alone... and when i got there... things were gone... they took my rhino alarm, pfc, spoon ti gearknob, amps, sub and my bag which had my psp and house keys... and now i have to change the whole lock in my house... my car is in sucha mess... they damaged my rear bar as well... police were at the scene and took down the details as usual... but didnt check for any finger prints.. the thief even left his screw driver there!! wires were cut and its sucha mess... they broke the siren... sigh...

i didnt get my mods insured so i guess they will replace it with oem... *sigh* was there from 6pm till 11pm... sigh... even star city's parking lot isnt safe... makes me wonder how i can prevent my car from being broken into next time... but dont think there is anyway at all... *sigh*

Damn man! Starcity is a pretty dangerous place to park. I know of quite a few people who have had their cars stolen from there. I'm definitely avoiding parking there if possible.. it sucks that it has come to this..

oh no! What's with the clubitr boys' cars getting broken into recently.....we all should go to temple to pray for peace.....

But yes, Star City is always known to be a car theft galore area. Hence, i always tried to avoid parking there (there's several different public car parks around the area within walking distance)

Where was the alarm installed ? Under the dash ? This is a prime example of why it is important to have an alarm hidden really well.

I know it sucks to have your ride molested, but be thankful they didn't want the whole car, by the sounds of it he could have taken it.

And it was an sms alarm to boot .........

I have a feeling that the DC2R ECU might be more than a PFC, so maybe you could strike up a deal with the workshop repairing the car later on if you get a chance to.
