Unfortunately it is more than likely people from the scene. The only reason why people steal these things from cars is because they know people will buy them. Trust me, if every tuning enthusiast stopped buying suspect parts then the rate of theft would drop considerably. Anyone ever questioned the number of Recaro seats that are on here and Oz Honda? They came from somewhere originally. Of course alot are legitimate, but there are heaps that are passed on from unknowing owner to the next.

I feel for you mate. My old Lancer was broken into at a Utopia event years ago at the Superdome. They got into the car by shoving a crowbar into the door at the B pillar and pulling the door frame back. They stole the Apexi gauges, my amp, head unit, gear knob, steering wheel and even my girlfriends handbag which had nothing in it except a few tissues and a Ventolin puffer. We had to have the car towed back to Newcastle and we caught a train home. Just what I wanted after a big night out. The car was parked 3 cars down from the ticket office. It just goes to show that your car is never safe. Alot of the time some car park employees are in on it.
