This thread seems to have gone a bit quiet which saddens me as I enjoy reading this thread!

How has your final tune gone Stan?

Was at Techsport lately (the Melbourne specialist for Evos) for an alignment and was interesting to hear their comments of their Evo 9 vs the Evo X. The weekend before was their debut of the Evo X (at a rally event that I can't remember the name of) and they commented that in a straight line their Evo X absolutely cains their Evo 9 (375kwatw). Alot of potential.

Quite suprised as I know out of the box the Evo 9 is faster in the straight but of coarse this is from factory.

While with the corner speed they couldn't do a proper comparsion as during a turn while trying to power out the car would not go and would just back fire. They later found out that this was due to the ECU (MOTEC) detecting high pressure in the power steering and hence limiting the revs.

We laughed at this problem as we just couldn't understand the logic behind this restraint but I could also feel their frustration as they wouldn't of been able to detect this problem on a dyno before hand.

But overall from the sounds of things it seems like the Evo X is quite a refined car for a first generation of that chasis.

                          wow.....375kw atw....crazy.....
I need to take it back to the tuners again.....
They reached to a certain amount of kw, which is not very believable....so i will wait till i get another tune....they ran out of fuel in the end....need to upgrade my fuel things...

So right now its at a safe 250kw atw......nearly doing the final tune...

this is soo weird, why is there a CT9A thread on ClubITR forum LOL i seen this for a while but i've never clicked in here.

So why was this created? is it because most of the ex DC5R drivers has moved to evolution?

that is the sole reason for this thread
