damn man!!! but just then... i found out on wikipedia... it says tat TA-082 can be downgraded too.... and im not sure if i wanna take the risk... im still confused... *sigh* can someone clarify this for me pls?? at the back of the psp where u insert the umd disk... it says "IC1001" and apparently its not downgradable...
BUT wikipedia says it is...
i just ordered myself a 4gb memory...
should you ever brick it, you can send it to this guy who can unbrick it for you at a fee.
Unbrick PSP
either way if you get lucky downgrading to 1.50 which i dont think will be a problem, you wont need to return to 2.71.
if you are still worried about downgrading from 2.71, upgrade to a higher firmware such as 3.03 and then downgrade to 1.50

anyone know how to turn their psp to a navigating system? LOL...
as for the nav thing, i just got mine working yesterday, works pretty well.
Im using the psp gps device (psp-290)
The only issues are being a homebrew app it tends to crash, but the newer revisions seem to get more stable & aswell the program only allows for gps mapping and not gps guidance. So you wont be able to put in a destination.
its something to do with the maps you download and load onto the psp
