i returned my psp today cos it had a dead pixel on it... and now... its flawless... cept tat... its running firmware 2.71... and the motherboard is TA-082... which i search on the net tat its not possible to downgrade or else its gonna turn into a brick!
damn man!!! but just then... i found out on wikipedia... it says tat TA-082 can be downgraded too.... and im not sure if i wanna take the risk... im still confused... *sigh* can someone clarify this for me pls?? at the back of the psp where u insert the umd disk... it says "IC1001" and apparently its not downgradable...
BUT wikipedia says it is...
i just ordered myself a 4gb memory...
it still should be ok, just refer to the link i mentioned above in my post on how to do it for your particular psp mobo version and firmware.
should you ever brick it, you can send it to this guy who can unbrick it for you at a fee.
lol... shouldve told me mo!!!! >< thanks for the info riceboi...
anyone know how to turn their psp to a navigating system? LOL...
no worries supernatural
as for the nav thing, i just got mine working yesterday, works pretty well.
Im using the psp gps device (psp-290)
The only issues are being a homebrew app it tends to crash, but the newer revisions seem to get more stable & aswell the program only allows for gps mapping and not gps guidance. So you wont be able to put in a destination.
its something to do with the maps you download and load onto the psp
