Dutchie says hi! DC2 K20 racecar

Hey folks! My name is Maarten, 24 years old and I live in the Netherlands.

At the moment I drive my Civic EM2 daily and for trackday's and events I have an JDM '96 spec DC2 that is far from standard

I come from a Honda minded family so I bought my first Honda at the age of 17 This was a Del Sol Vti with the B16A2 engine.
After a year or 2 I imported my first DC2 directly from Japan. I had my first track experience with it and I loved it! Due to an planned internship to Japan I was forced to sell it.
Unfortunately this internship was cancelled. After a week I decided to look out for a ''new'' DC2 in Japan. I found a clean example with only 84.000 km on the odo.

On arrival I was more than pleasantly surprised when the car turned out to be well upgraded with Spoon parts. Upgrading and servicing was done at the Type One garage!

A few years, loads of work, trackdays, time-attacks later this is my car today.

The LCA modification was a solution for multiple lower ball joint failures. Every time after 60!! minutes of racing, the joints showed massive play on them. I used OEM and rollcentre adjuster joints. So when I jacked up the car under the LCA without the coilover installed I could clearly see that the angle of the ball joint was to much for it (although my car is not low so I still don't know why I had this issue).. So the only solution was to adjust the angle of the LCA. (OEM is slightly bent) So I heated it up and bent it straight. This offcourse affected the wheelgeometry (but not in a bad way). Because of the car now being wider, the need for longer axles and longer tie rods were there. After a few hours of searching I ended up ordering 1998 CRV ones (these are a bit longer). Axles were special order at the Drive Shaft Shop.
