Regarding your thread:
When I was in the market for a DC5S/R, I found plenty of good examples in the 15-16k range. However for a typeS, nothing under 19k. Remember, quality > quantity. In other words, the more you pay the better you receive. Unless it's obviously overpriced..

The noob bought himself a Type S 2006 150,000km for $14k. Its clean but has a few broken bits here and there.
Rear lights got some water in it and 1 headlight has gone yellow. Just minor defects and can easily be fixed.
