Maybe you should learn manual in your mums car or you could be granny shifting like Brian Walker.

I didn't know how to drive manual when I bought my DC2R. I remember needing my friend to drive it home for me lol I've never needed to change the clutch in my car when I had it for 5 years, B or K series... so not too expensive for me besides the K swap ha!

Budget of 15k might be pushing it. Don't forget you'll need insurance, pay stamp duty and other misc costs

            Oh and welcome to ClubITR

Welcome mate. I still don't know what double clutching is to this day.
Lisa is a nut. She has a rubber butt. Everytime she turns around it goes putt putt.

Pay the premium for a well maintained car dude... chances are the car is cheap for a reason.. maybe extend ur budget up to the $17-19k mark for a clean dc5r

You will be hard pressed to find a decent Type S for less than 19k my friend.
