I see a few poeple are concerned with cages and rego.

Lots of cars have road legal cages. Think off all teh cars competing in Targo Tasmina and tarmac rallies etc.

unless you wear a harness and helmet whilst driving a caged car on the road, you are putting yourself (and any passengers) at a massive risk...

there are very good reasons why cages are illegal on public roads...

and this series should definitely NOT be doing anything to encourage guys caging their road cars...

Our Draft Regulations will be available shortly. We have been working on the foundations on which competitors can build and develop cars, and whilst trying to keep it as "standard" as possible we will be allowing freedoms to enable everyone to build some very good looking and quick cars.

Obviously we are not going to please everyone but we think the Regulations have something for everyone to ensure good racing throughout the field.

No, not quiet, just very busy organising things, sending out packages, writing letters, dealing with ASIC (registering business name) and getting ABN sorted, visiting affiliates, getting people on board the Team, etc etc.

Have you got any draft details about the correct licences needed for the series?

We have a reasonably advanced Draft Regulations document but as we've sent a few out to select people for further refinement, and we have someone editing it and tidying it up, we will be releasing a FINAL VERSION soon.

But to answer your question, the AASA licence will be minimum - you have to apply, and be observed for the full licence. Check the AASA site for more details on how to comply. We will also accept a CAMS licence for Circuit Racing.
