    Wakefield Park Re-Opens

    Thursday 7th Feb
    Monday 11th Feb
    Thursday 14th Feb

    Thursday 21st Feb
    Friday 22nd Feb (BIKES ONLY)
    Monday 25th Feb

Been wanting to go since the re-opening but track days kill your tyres!

I just put the new adrenalins on and I dont want to ruin them.

Been looking around for some 15inch rims with slicks but hard to find...

I did 1:15:62 on a damp track in a mildly modded Golf GTI with Azenis RT615s yesterday. Last time the car went down it got 1:16:92 on dry track. The guy who took it last time pushes nowhere near as hard as I did though. I'd say the car is good for a 1:12 in the dry in my hands. On old surface I'd be happy with a 1:14 out of it. They were saying it's 1.7 seconds quicker for most cars.

Ripplestrips are non existant. There is a slight lip over them now since they went straight over the top of the old surface. There is no margin for error now. Stay inside the white lines. A fw times I went inside them at turn 5 and all it did was upset the car. In my DC5 I used to lift the front right on turns 5, 9 and 10. The new surface encourages smoother, more clinical driving rather than throw about, seat of your pants aggression.

Run off was smooth on turn 6. Almost no noticable difference apart from alot of mud being flicked up onto the car.
