a Hillclimb and Supersprint are CAMS sanctioned motorsports events that are essentially a "race against the clock"

for example, the Esses Hillclimb is a timed run starting at forest elbow at Mt Panorama, up thriough the esses, through the dipper and finally onto the finish line at the top of the mountain...

it takes me about 34 seconds to do it in my old cars, but the record is like 25 seconds or something insane. you get 5-6 runs at it, with your best time conting towards your place in the class you entered. fastest tiem of teh day wins each class.

you need a CAMS licence, and CAMS affilated car club membership to enter, plus a few safety things like fire extinguisher etc...

Do you know the process for getting a CAMS licence?

fill out a form, sign the indemnity, pay the $85 and you get a licence,

but you must be a memebr of a CAMS car club, like HCCNSW.org.au - costs $30 a year...
