Yeah I mean... even .::F[L]Y::. you would have to agree something isn't right since your pretty heavily worked B20-VTEC is pulling a claimed 300nm...and Ray's near stock B18C7 is pulling 295nm...

...and yeah I agree Steve the ATW kW seems correct...think the variables for the torque would've been off...

Torque is off, however kw figures about right.

yeah i read that on my dyno sheet and asked, why is the torque figure so high? and the guy told me that the figure is at the wheels, but it equates to about 160... i didn't really ask him any further questions after that... although i always thought that figures in all aspects would be lower than at the engine when it is atw?

i just looked at other people's dyno sheet and they also had the same "high torque" figure... i didn't get a torque graph on my printout though... they printed me off a "Motive Force" graph instead which is in Lb... anyone know what this is? I got about 610Lb on that motive force graph...

yeh my torque reading is very hight too. my only mods is JDM 4-1 headers, JDM cat and vision catback.... and the bel guys/tinkerbell suggested maybe my timing may have been advanced

i pulled 120.2 ATW and 312nm of torque apparently... not that im complaining

Hey manny, I wouldn't be too concerned about talk (torque) figures.

Do you get a better torque figure if you have stickier tyres?

hey but when the guy was making that spreadsheet after each run, he would put the "correct" torque figure on it... so mine had 160nm I think? i still don't know how he comes up with it from a reading of about 295nm max torque... weird!

hey so what is the Motive Force (lb) mean? anyone know? dave?

wat do i have to prove, wats it says on the sheet is wat i posted up and u where there and saw the graph to, theres not point arguing about it if its wrong its wrong wat i see on the sheet is wat i typed up.but my power figure is very close to wat i got on dyno dynamic

You need to remember, Torque at the wheels will be multiplied depending on what gear your in, what diff gears your running, and what size rims you are using. All of these factors have the effect of multiplying Torque.

I don't have a problem with the torque figures seeing as big V8's get over 800nm on the dyno LOL

Hehe...not concerned...more about wanting to understand

So it's true that torque at the wheels > torque at the engine/fly?

interesting point. I didnt dyno my car on the day but yeh looks good though LOL.

so how would you work out real torque?

sorry Manny and others, i have no explaination...

                        here is my graph though:

                        295NM at 5420rpm
                        111kW at 6430rpm
                        ... retired/

ahaha no the torque figures are wrong from what i heard... it measures torque at the wheel spinner thingys.. i cant understand but they explained to me that that torque isnt the same as engine torque figure..

so the torque figures arent "wrong" but its not what you would quote for your car..

                            BWAIIAN please explain...

but its definately true that my car had too much power to run on the day.. i was sooo disappointed when i had to back off...
