I've heard a stock dc5r pull a 1.45 (RE030's) and this was the best time from a Motor BFYB/PCOTY. 1.43 would have to be something beyond pro.

I’d still be very suss about that time. Motor test there for PCOTY and they quote the Cam McConville/Warren Luff times which are pretty quick on the day (sometimes they are hot days which will affect the cars). I was speaking to one of their drivers (he is a pro driver who races a FWD in Production Cars), he said that none of them were hanging around and everyone of the pro drivers is trying to go quicker than every other driver so the times published are pretty good.
Having said that they got a 1:44.09 out of the S2000 in 2003, 1:46.61 out of the DC5S in 2005. I know that the’ve had a DC5R there and although I can’t remember the exact time no way known was it doing 1:43’s. I’ve even got a sneaking suspicion that the ADM DC5S posted quicker times than the ADM DC5R.
Sorry TeMp but I’d have to get a more solid proof than a hazily remembered lap time to believe that a stock DC5R can trundle around in 1:43’s – although I’m happy to be proven wrong.Last edited by TAFKA TMB; 18-09-07, 02:22 PM.Honda DC2R Integra
If I change the nut behind the wheel then my sloppy lines improve and I can get some consistency to sort out my iffy handling, my worrying lack of braking ability goes away, after that I can start fretting about my suspicious lack of straight line grunt.

I maybe wrong due to my memory letting me down.
TBH I don't care what that magazines/pro drivers do there as it is irrelavent to my experience on the track as us ammatures will never get as much track time and experience as they will.
This all started as chid and not a factual/technical claim so please stop taking it so seriously!

Yeah I can’t get close to their stock times either, but back in the VZ Commodore/BA Falcon days I used to love putting it up rockapes on other forums. I’d say that If I ever wanted to go slower than my weedy little 1.8 N/A FWD I’d have to downgrade to something like an auto GT-P or F6 Typhoon. Some of the more gullible members didn’t understand that my R-spec tyres were road legal and were worth a couple of seconds in laptimes.
