ok i wasn't hallucinating. it is still happening (at least with firefox anyway).

YES I am checking the 'Remember me' box
NO my settings do not automatically clear the cookies

Internet explorer seems to do it periodically.
Firefox does it every time i reload the browser.

yep. don't worry about it. it's probably something on my end. it's working fine now, although i wont be surprised if it stuffs up again

Apologies if I'm doubling up on something, but is there a way to let the forum automatically resize 'oversized' pictures into something thats more user friendly?

A couple of the appearance/gallery photos are a bit too big for the standard 17" LCD 1024x1280 resoultion.

If not, maybe we can have mod-enforced resizing?

sorry we can't police file dimensions hosted on other servers unless we host it ourselves (which will come shortly).

I think it's a bit OTT personally if we have start enforcing file dimensions but if majority of users wish for this I'm sure the mods will be happy to do it.

This isn't an issue with the board configuration itself so you're best to raise this issue with the rest of the board/moderators.

If it's a problem, by all means talk to a moderator about it and they will discuss it. I just do what the mods tell me.

I've talked myself out of it:

1) the server can't police image size, even if it did, it'd ruin the grossly enormous pictures that're purposely big and humorous.
2) fize resizing is draining for mods.
3) we should be sensible enough to know whats appealing and whats not.
4) I should be doing work and not posting.
