CITRMM VIC - Ideas & Suggestions

Victorians,

We need to organise something big to make up the lack of Septembers meet.

I'm suggesting a similar event to last years BIG CRUISE and DELICIOUS BBQ, and maybe a raffle for prizes.
I've never organised a lengthy cruise before, so I'm happy with repeating last years plans.
(Given the dates, we might be aiming for 14/15th December)

If anyone has more experience or suggestions on a big cruise + BBQ park, please post your ideas here!

Lastly, re: Go Karting
I've contacted www.silhouettekarts.com.au however I'm awaiting a reply regarding their availability during Dec. So lets take advantage of the beautiful summer weather ahead of us, and leave the go-karting to warm us up for the sh*t melbourne weather in the other months.

Cruise to Phillip Island. Have a BBQ & go-karts then cruise home. I know its a straight line cruise, but if we are karting, everyone can get the need for corners out there

The only thing I dislike about that idea, is the 5 hours of my day driving in a straight line and only have ~2 hours of BBQ and 30 minutes of go-karting. And for the people that don't want to go-kart, the BBQ might seem hardly worth the 5 hour commute!

But its still a suggestion and is out on the table for votes! Any more suggestions from you guys?

Albert Park for barbeque? Probably crazy hard to find parking though especially when it's nice weather and on the weekend.

Albert Park would be ideal, but impossibru to get everyone there!
Are there any other Parks with BBQ facilities that are located somewhat centrally?
