    FS: Supercharged DC5 TYPE R

    Hi Everyone

I thought id post up my car here first, I've just received a job in WA and as much as i love my ITR i wont be taking it with me

Some of you might already know of the car, I bought the Teg of a friend 7months ago basically the car has had a small fortune spent on it. ill list a few of the modification's but if you want to know more just let me know. I'm not tight with maintenance its serviced at centrix Auto using endless products oil is changed every 5,000km's and gearbox oil every 10,000km's supercharger belt every 20,000km etc etc.

The engine was rebuilt and modified at 90,000km to handle the increased power. the gear box has been changed as the old type r gears are just to short for the supercharger and increases traction considerably. I almost drove from Brisbane to Sydney on one tank of fuel so when your not heavy footing it its extremely economical. ITR has plenty of power from idle right up to peak and its not scary to drive or unstable at all, unlike other modified cars i have driven over time.

The car has 143,000 kms on the clock. ITR has QLD mod plate and 6months rego i have an agreed value with Just cars insurance for what i payed which im sure the buyer would also be able to obtain.

price is $26,000ono ill post some pic's up this week

    120km/h second gear
    170km/h third gear
at 110km/hr in 6th gear engine is running approx at 2400rpm and 6th goes over 300km/hr on dyno

ahaha.. dont have to drive it. can get it shipped. the price to pay isnt that significant compare to having to go through the trouble to sell it and perhaps buy something here and not be happy with it.

            it doesnt cost that much to ship over to perth considering the amount of money u spent on it and the value of the car. this is the company i used and will be using it again soon;

perth -> melb $660.00 fully insured
melb -> perth $1300.00 fully insured

its more expensive going back because most stuff gets shipped to perth and trains come back empty.

Hey there, why is the crossover point lowered to 3k?
Where can i get information on the hardened tsx gears?

ill also look in to shipping although i'm been tempted to by a Prado or something similar as ill be on the road a lot.

so my thoughts were if some one would like the car then they can take it off my hands otherwise shipping could also be an idea

So, regarding the vtec crossover point, why was it lowered significantly?

simple answer from my understanding, improves performance, reduces any sluggish feel and removes possible engine knock etc

because its where the engine best responded to power and torque acording to the tuner.....
