Just had a major service done 5 months ago but the car has barely done 700kms in the last 6 months... no license lol..

Gearbox, brake fluid (together with clutch fluid), pads, engine oil and filter = set to go for track day

every trackday that i went to, i went all out for the whole session, every session, and have yet to encounter a problem with over heating, and i have the stock cooling. I use Motul 300v as advised by proconcept, and it seems to do quite well.

I might come down for that day, but not to drive. I can hop in your car as a passenger if you'll allow me to?

If your gearbox fluid was changed already not too long ago i wouldnt necessarily change it again. Although if you don't worry about cost, then sure go ahead. Gearbox fluid usually lasts a long time. Especially if it's good quality fluid.

Just take up some tools, a jack, tyre pressure gauge, race tape and some cable ties.

Aside from servicing prior, should be good man. Have fun!

Yeah sure, if you want you can hop in one of my sessions i don't mind, just don't expect me to be a great track driver lol

well heres what i did for my major service +prep track

-motul 300v chrono
-motul brake fluid
-castrol syntrans gearbox oil
-cant remember what i used for clutch
-ferodo pads front and back
-while i was at it got some slotted rotors dba 4000s


im just bringing the leftover 1l of 300v do i need more and also brake fluid do i need to carry extra? was only serviced a week ago

Just make sure you drive down during the day. If you drive at night, the last thing you want is to hit a dead kangaroo.

Guess it really depends what fluid your running... Apparently OEM fluid burns out really quick...
Anyone confirm??

Brake fluids should not be burning... the only reason that brake fluid levels go down is leakage.

I take u mean OEM engine oil. I have been to a good few track days with OEM engine oil and I never burnt any. My car only ever started to burn oil when I changed to synthetic oils. Might also be the car is aging.

that might be one reason, but brake fluid goes down as each pad gets thinner more commonly...

MYDC5R - you bring extra fluid in case you need to bleed the brakes on the day.

Ha the most obvious reason but u would be going through alot of brake pad in those few days to need a top up. Better safe then sorry I guess.
