and even cheaper for AEM CAI...

also - i am still running stock VTiR intake arm with K&N drop in filter in the OEM box... (plus doing 1:13's around wakefield)
sorry for going a little off topic but do u run the stock air box with the top on or off? also did u take the resonator box out?

I've gotta agree, Mugen is the best, But $$$$

I think Injen is the best of the rest.

Either stick with stock or pony up and get the mugen.

There is no other practical choce for us in Aus.

If you were in the US id tell you to get a velocity stack and a KN 6" filter to go over it, and enclose the whole thing.

But by the time u do that u have spent probably 6 - 700. So why not spend the extra and get the best.

It's the one mod everyone says is well worth it.

top off only on the track so i can hear my engine better - on the road it is toooo looooud!

also did u take the resonator box out?

yes i did, saved a few KG - and i run 90mm aggi pipe from behind the bumper to the inlet of the airbox...

im considering keeping the stock airbox but changing to a better filter. i was just wondering about the piping for the stock intake...i was looking at it last night and the pipe looks like it is directed to the right hand side of the car....if so has anyone changed that part so it faces the front of the car.

                              thanks

AKS200: The Mugen intake shown above doesn't have the pipe directed toward the front of the car. I don't think there are gains to be made by changing where that pipe faces, because where it draws the intake air from the air is fairly still.

PS. Tinkerbell... Of course I know what box you're referring to! I just don't recall it being all that heavy when I removed it last time.
